Which EVV system does Georgia use, and can I use my own?
Georgia’s official EVV system is Netsmart’s Mobile Caregiver+. Agencies may use a third-party EVV system if it meets federal rules, the vendor signs and submits the DCH Third-Party Attestation, and it sends the required data to the State system. You still register with the State system, and the third-party costs are yours.
Georgia DCH names Netsmart’s Mobile Caregiver+ as its official EVV system. It is free to register, and the quick start guide walks you through it.
If you want a different system, Georgia’s FAQ says:
- The system must meet federal EVV requirements.
- The vendor must sign and submit the Georgia DCH Third-Party Attestation.
- The vendor must send the required EVV data to the State system.
- You must still register with the State solution.
- You pay any cost for the alternative system and the cost to connect it.
- Claims for EVV services still go to GAMMIS through the State EVV solution.
Vendors who want to connect are told to contact Netsmart (Tellus) through the integrations email in the FAQ.
How to choose: ask any vendor if they are on Georgia’s list, who handles rejected claims, and what happens to your data if you leave. Also ask for a test period on real visits before you drop your current system.
Georgia DCH is the only source that can tell you whether a vendor’s attestation is on file, so ask DCH.
