Referrals & Reputation

Where should my agency be listed so families and case managers can find us?

Start with the places that already hold your facts: your Google Business Profile, your Georgia license record, and your Medicaid program enrollment. Keep your name, address and phone number the same everywhere. Ask your program office whether they keep an agency list for clients who want to choose.

I cannot give a ranked list of directories with proof, because I did not find a state-run directory page I could confirm. Here is what I can support.

First, get the basics right:

  1. Your Google Business Profile. Google says to use your real business name and one profile per business. This is often the first thing a family sees.
  2. Your Georgia DCH license record. It is the official source that you are licensed. Make sure your name and address match.
  3. Your program enrollment. In CCSP, clients choose an agency, and the care coordinator offers the choice. Ask the regional office how they present agencies and what information they need from you.
  4. Your own website, with your counties, hours, languages and phone number.

Then add listings where families look: local senior and disability resource pages, hospital discharge resources, and community groups. Ask each one how they pick who to list. Never pay for a "referral" list without reading the terms (see our answer about kickbacks).

The goal is steady facts. When a family or coordinator sees the same name, phone and address in every place, they trust it.
