Can I use my own EVV system in Georgia, or do I have to use the state’s?
You can use the state’s Netsmart system or an approved third-party EVV system. A third-party system must meet federal rules, have a signed DCH attestation, and send visit data to the state. You still register with the state system. In 2026 DCH reopened vendor integration, but only for vendors already supporting a Georgia Medicaid provider.
Georgia lets agencies choose.
Option 1: the state system (Netsmart Mobile Caregiver+). DCH publishes Phase 1 and Phase 2 checklists for agencies using it.
Option 2: a third-party EVV system. From the state FAQ:
- The system must meet federal EVV rules.
- The vendor must submit a signed Georgia DCH Third-Party Attestation.
- The system must send the required data to the state EVV system.
- Your agency must still register with the state EVV system.
- You pay for the alternate system and its connection.
DCH keeps a list of vendors that completed the connection. An April 2024 version of that list said DCH was no longer accepting new third-party integration requests. In July 2026, DCH said integration reopened for the home health (HHCS) rollout, but only for vendors that actively support at least one enrolled Georgia Medicaid provider.
Before you pick, ask your vendor in writing whether they are connected for your services (personal support, waiver services, or home health). Then check that the vendor shows up on DCH’s current list.
