What it leaves to your office

  • Where HHAeXchange is the state or MCO system, an agency on its own agency software still has to register with and send EVV data to HHAeXchange (Illinois HFS: third-party systems ’ARE REQUIRED to transmit their EVV data to HHA’).
  • Payroll in the agency platform produces hours for upload to a separate payroll provider (growth guide); native embedded payroll was announced as upcoming in Apr 2026.
  • Its AI is mostly announced or in demo rather than described as shipped (Care Forward 2026 recap).

Do I still have to use HHAeXchange if my state uses it?

Your visits still have to reach HHAeXchange, because the state checks claims against it. You do not have to type them in. CareBravo sends each visit there, then does the billing, payroll and paperwork that follow.

What does HHAeXchange not do for my agency?

HHAeXchange collects visit data for the state. It does not run your payroll, chase your denials, write your charts or update families. That office work is what CareBravo’s AI agents do, with a person confirming anything that moves money or care.
